JOSHUA TREE NATIONAL PARK

The National Park josue1 trees ( Joshua Tree National Park ) is a national park located in the U.S. state of California. It is a desert area that includes parts of Colorado and Mojave deserts . Its name comes from a species of cactus , found almost exclusively in this area , called Joshua Tree ( Joshua Tree ) . The Irish band U2 took pictures of the whole group in this park for his album of the same title , The Joshua Tree , winner of a Grammy Award and recognized as the band's best work . Another of the photos in the album were taken in the ghost town of Bodie , California ( Sierra Nevada Mountains in California) , and mainly in the California desert in the "Death Valley National Park" . Just around this is where the photo was taken of the legendary and iconic Joshua tree that appears on the back cover . A portion of the park is covered by low-lying boulders , which are one of the reasons for attraction of the park , especially for practitioners of the form of climbing called bouldering . The San Andreas fault delimits an area south of the park , this being a seismically active area . The wealth of fauna and flora of this area made it attractive for the establishment of hunter- gatherers in the past. In the nineteenth century , the California Gold Rush led to the establishment of mining towns and farmers. Today, the park is inhabited or not exploited commercially , being a protected area since 1936.
